Refund policy
This policy explains how refunds of unused prepaid lesson-package credit are calculated. It applies to lesson packages, not individually purchased lessons.
The calculation
How unused credit is refunded
- Start with the package amount actually paid.This is the discounted amount collected through Stripe.
- Deduct lessons already used or booked at the standard hourly rate.This removes the package discount from lessons already taken or reserved.
- Deduct the actual payment transaction charge.The original Stripe processing charge recorded for the payment is deducted.
- Deduct a 5% platform fee.The fee is 5% of the gross unused balance after the lesson charge.
- Refund the remainder.The refund cannot be less than zero.
Refund = amount paid − standard-rate lesson charges − actual transaction charge − 5% platform fee
Requesting a refund
Use your family account.
- Submit securelyOpen the purchased package in your verified family account and select the refund option.
- Calculation reviewedThe lesson usage and stored Stripe transaction charge are checked before approval.
- Returned through StripeApproved refunds are sent to the original payment method. Your bank may take several business days to display the credit.
