Standard vs Extended: Which Formula Booklet Should I Use?
Use the version that matches the material taught by your school. The Standard booklet gives a compact reference for common MYP Mathematics topics. The Extended booklet includes that foundation and adds formulas commonly used in more advanced MYP work. If you are unsure, ask your mathematics teacher which pathway and topics your class follows.

How to Use the IB MYP Formula Booklet
- Choose the correct version. Match the Standard or Extended sheet to the content taught in your class.
- Practise retrieval first. Attempt a question from memory, then use the booklet to check the formula.
- Connect symbols to meaning. Write down what each variable represents before substituting values.
- Check assessment rules. A revision summary does not determine what materials your school permits in a test.
